    Free Candle

    by Poets Mobile

Free Candle is the essential candle app. It has pretty much everything you want for the great price of $0.00. It runs beautifully on both the iPhone and the iPad. Included are 10 different candles of varying styles. The flame is affected by the wind and can even be blown out. A simple swipe down will extinguish the flame, and a swipe up will revive it. The app does just about everything a real candle does except provide heat and actual fire. Free Candle is the essential candle app for iOS.

    Crazy Candle

    by Ezone.com

Crazy Candle is an okay alternative to the essential app. You get a single candle that can be interacted with in a similar manner to the essential app. This one is iPhone only. Overall there is not much incentive to buy this app over the free essential one.

    Kindle Candle

    by Reuven M

Kindle Candle is a pretty good free app. You get a single candle style with an adjustable wax color. The flame reacts to you tilting the device, but does not react to wind. The flame cannot be blown out. An okay app that may appeal to some.

    iKandl

    by Brothers Technology

If you are looking for an awesome birthday or other candle themed message this is a great app. The app helps you build an interactive greeting card. You pick out the cupcake, candle color, and can even record a voice greeting. From there you can email it to the recipient. The email will point them to download the free app that allows them to view your greeting. This is a wonderful app for those that need to send a virtual birthday card with a candle flare.

    iCandles

    by Dinusha Kumarasinghe

We expected more out of iCandles. Partially because it is not a free app. You’ll get six different animated candles. What we really dislike is how intrusive the Facebook integration is. We like the ability to share these candles, but the implementation is terrible. The sharing features make what could have been a beautiful app ugly. Skip this one for now.

    Real Candles

    by NOB Entertainment, LLC

Real Candles sounds like a promising app, but it still disappoints. There is a ton of customization options that allow your candle to be very unique. We had countless problems with crashing and stability throughout, which made the app painful to use. The app has not been updated since October 27, 2009, which leads us to believe this is an abandoned app that you should avoid.
