Essential Apps

    by Catalyst Software LLC

ICE is one of the essentials in this category. ICE allows you to keep a list of emergency contacts, known allergies, medications you are on, any conditions you have, and your personal identification information. This app packs everything you would ever need into an easy to use app.

    I.C.E. Screen

    by DVMagic Studios, Inc.

I.C.E. Screen is a great companion to the other essential app. The app allows you to create custom wallpapers for your iPhone. These wallpapers include information for times of emergency. You can include emergency contacts or conditions that you have. This is great because you don't need to launch the app. Simply turn on your iPhone and this info will be displayed. This is a great app that has an iPad counterpart too!

    smart-ICE (In Case of Emergency)

    by EMS Options, LLC

Smart-ICE is the best alternative to the essential apps. It packs everything you would ever need into a single app. We love that the app is so thorough in what kind of content you can put in it. The big problem is the bad UI. The app is hard to navigate through and interact with. The thoroughness of the app makes up for the problems we had with its design.

    iEmergency+ (In Case of Emergency)

    by Kavapoint LLC

Looking for an all in one solution … iEmergency+ is here. This app attempts to combine the two essential apps into one. We found the implementation of the features not quite as good as the two separate apps. There were many restrictions and annoyances we found when using this app. We would recommend going with the 2 app solution for now. Not a terrible app, but simply not there yet.

    Close Call

    by Polka

Close Call allows you to create a custom wallpaper for your iPhone. We had several problems with this app. The resulting wallpapers were not of good quality and the app crashed at random times. An okay app that will hopefully get better over time.
