    Gloop

    by RunSwimFly

Gloop is an interesting app. It is not a pure lava lamp app, but includes many of the aspects of a lava lamp. This is a lava lamp combined with foam, water, and alien clouds. It is a bizarre creation that is worth a try. Best of all this app is universal and a free version is available. Gloop is a fun app that would complement iLava nicely.

    flOOid

    by Chaotic Box

FlOOid is a unique app. It is another free app that is remarkably good. The light will follow your finger around or you can let it run in auto play mode. The graphics are not what you would expect out of a traditional lava lamp, but the graphics are still quite nice. This is a nice freebie that is worth a download.

Decent Apps

    LavaGlo

    by JDTec

LavaGlo is an okay app. The graphics feel more cartoony than realistic. This is not a bad thing, but something to be aware of before buying. You are able to select between five different colors and there is a clock display. You can manipulate the lava by simply touching it. A nice app that may appeal to some.

    iLava

    by Dinusha Kumarasinghe

This app is one to avoid. There is no originality to this app. What this app attempts to do is replicate a lava lamp as closely as possible. While that sounds great, the results are not. It feels more like a video rather than a true app. For an authentic lava lamp experience grab the other iLava app (Virtual Lava Lamp).
