    Photo Wall - Collage App

by App Street Software Private Limited

This is my go-to collage creating app. Select a background from their dozen or so templates, one of their add-on packs (for in-app purchase), or from your own photo library. Adjust the canvas color, brightness, orientation, aspect ratio, and dimension. Add photos, clip art, and text as desired. Manipulate each object with your fingers; make it larger, smaller, or rotate it. Adjust the transparency of each item and move it on top of or underneath other items in the collage. Basically, if you can think it, you can do it with this app. If you’re not sure, try the free lite version, which still has most of the features of the paid version. There are also free and paid iPad versions; the links for all three other versions are in the "other" section below.

    Collage Creator

    by SilkenMermaid

This is a solid collage creation app. Choose one of their background options or use one from your photo library. Add photos and pinch to make them larger or smaller, move them around. Shift them on top of one another as desired. Shake to shuffle. Try the lite version; you can save up to 5 collages.

    PicMix

    by Voxeloid Kft.

This is a powerful tool, perhaps more than most people need. I found it rather complicated to use, but I can see its potential for people who really like to customize their montages. You can place photos on top of one another and use a “brush” to blend them together, which is a really neat feature. Try the free lite version; it saves only lo-res photos but you’ll get an idea of whether or not this app is for you.

    Collage

    by JOHN MOFFETT

Choose a background color and add up to 16 photos. Zoom, rotate, change the colors, cut out parts of photos. You can choose which photos lie on top and which recede to the background. Adjust the transparency. Oddly, they suggest the best way to save a collage is to email it. I found this one alright but a little buggy. There is a lite version which allows you to try the app with fewer features.

    Picture Collage HD "Lite Edition"

    by YJ Soft

This is a barebones collage app. Choose your photos, tap “Collage” and a simple collage is created. You can move the photos around, but not adjust the size or rotation. You can’t even change the background - the teal you see is the teal you get. You could upgrade to the paid version for the ability to change the size and angle of your photos, but I wouldn’t bother.
