Make sure to read the app description carefully for how each of these notifications work to see if it fits your needs. Several reviews complained the app limits to 2 types of alerts you can use at any one time but the app description says there are 5 with the ability to purchase more.

Not only can you get alerts at the start and end of the game and when the score changes, but with Sportacular you can set a reminder 3 hours before the game starts and at the end of each inning or every 3rd inning. Not only that, but if there's an individual game you're interested in but it's one of your favorite teams isn't playing, you can set alerts specifically for that game. All this is in addition to some other cool features, like Facebook Connect and the ability to root for your time by voting that they're going to win.
