Editor

Overview

Add a mustache or chef’s hat to new or old photos. That’s about it.

Functionality

If you’re like me and saw that there was a way to make your friends look like ridiculous Italian chefs by adding props to photos of them, then maybe you looked into this app.

Editor is pretty straightforward. Click on the camera button to take a photo that will be immediately available for editing, or click on the search button to use a photo from your library.

Once an image is selected, the app lets users move and scale it, before pulling it up in editor mode, where you can move around all four of the props available: a cigar, a goatee (or mole, not quite sure which) and the aforementioned mustache and chef’s hat.

As you come to the end of your immature attempt at humor, you can click on the “How To Save The Image” button, for instructions on taking a screenshot.

Review

Let’s face it, Editor is just plain dumb.

It will put you on about the same maturity level as a second-grader. And yes, I guess I’m on that level, because I thought it was enjoyable for all 30 seconds that I spent accessorizing a bottle of hot sauce.

You may get a decent chuckle out of this simple and disgusting act, but when you show your masterpiece to a friend, she’ll likely think you’re creepy and mentally unbalanced.

The app is also misleading and claims to offer the ability to add “props” to your photos. When I saw that, I didn’t think that I’d be selecting from a grand total of four.

Also, why the heck is the only save option a screenshot? That means that I have to have all of these buttons and menu bars on my final piece. Not that I should really care, since I shouldn’t expect to show anyone these highly childish attempts at stress relief.

Summary

This is a good download for those under the age of seven. Or with a similar sense of humor. Otherwise, you’ll spend more time downloading and uninstalling Editor than actually enjoying it.
