UPDATE
It looks like Apple has finally removed the application from the app store. I wonder how many he sold?

-
While applications like NetShare continue to fail Apple’s strict approval process, there are plenty of “questionable” applications that seem to make it through just fine. The latest breed of the bunch is an application called I am Rich.
I am Rich, priced at a whopping $999.99, is an application that does nothing but show a red gem on the screen. It is being pushed by developer Armin Heinrich as an application for the elites.
The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this.
It’s a work of art with no hidden function at all.
After pressing the (i) on the main page, a secret mantra will be shown. This may help you to stay rich, healthy and successful.
Let’s hope Apple takes down the application as soon as possible, especially considering how easy it is to accidentally buy apps from the app store.

Lame. There’s too much crap like this (albeit not so expensive) in the app store. I can’t wait for all the really good stuff to start trickling in…
This iPhone app is the new Rolley!
this app doesn’t show how rich you are. It shows how stupid you are for buying such a overpriced pos. I could see spending that type of money on an app that did something. Actually no I couldn’t.
I agree this app is useless but why are you being a playa hater ji? If someone is trying to make money then let them get their hustle on.
as long as it’s not at my expense..
I heard that 8 people bought this app.
hahaha…i would have bought it. honestly how much more retarded is this than a $500,000 car, a $2,000,000 home, it’s all just as useless to be honest, but you know if you had the money you’d do it (and by useless i mean there really is no $500,000 car that can’t be beat by a good $100,000 car)
