Question: If I pwn my iPhone 3G now, and September rolls around and Apple releases fw 2.1, I’ll just be able to update through iTunes, and then pwn again (when there’s an updated Winpwn of course)?
2nd Question: One of the steps in your tutorial says we have to use iPwner, and that pwns iTunes. What exactly does that mean that iTunes is pwned? Will an update to iTunes de-pwn it? Do I need the latest iTunes for this to work? If other iPods use that computer and iTunes, will there be any problems with that?

hi for some reason after i jailbroke it i have no network? why
I tried several times and winpwn 2.0.0.4 just dies while building ipsw (with both 2.0 and 2.0.1). Uninstall/install again doesn’t work either. I’m using vista.
Few days ago I used winpwn 2.0.0.3 and 2.0 ipsw and it worked fine.
It works for me by unchecking ‘Activate iPhone’ when building the ipsw. I’m using unlocked model of iPhone 3G (Hong Kong).
Update, i found the 2.0.1 firmware but i get a error code when i try to restore it with jailbreak 1st gen iphone. Its funny cause it works well on a 3G iphone. it seems that i can jailbreak other iphones but mine……
omg- Make sure Activate Phone and You Tube Activation Fix boxes are unchecked.!
1st try of winpwn 2.0.4 with fw 2.0.1 works .. BUT something went wrong with email service.
i can’t see my emails. can’t delete gmail account to create the new one. after downloading first 50 eamils the email aplication is crashed. when i’m on home screen email service is chcecking emails every 20 secs and gives me buzz and sound that new emails are waiting to read. But email icon does not change. even if then i press email icon then aplication is checkin once again and ap is crashing. after when i have changed in settings to check emails manualy then phone is not buzing and giving a horrible sound. pfff
weee … after second try everything is ok .. so far. phone is jailbreaked with cydia and installer installed on. My email works fine.. even themes.
runs alot smoother than before. cant wait till some more sources start rolling in for installer

I successfully Jailbroke my phone to 2.0.0.4, however when I try to open my email it goes back to the desktop everytime. Any ideas?
RE number 15. The problem is you are restoring your previous profile when restoring. Choose set up as new phone instead.
RE number 17. The only option i see is to restore the phone, there is no option to set it up as new…the instructions that i follow state to put the phone into DFU and when i do the only option itunes gives me is to restore it. hope that clarified things a bit more.
