I live in Brazil. The iTunes store does not allow me to download (or even purchase) apps from the US app store leaving me to choose from a much smaller collection. Do you have a neat trick to go around this problem. Try for yourself to purchase anything form a non US iTunes store. Stupid isn’t it?

The process runs as follows:
(be sure to select “NONE” when it asks for billing info)

Not working from Switzerland, because you need to fill in billing information that is based in the US, if you actually want to buy something.
@Ulf: There is no way to select “NONE” for billing address? Otherwise, use Google Maps to find an “appropriate” address, enter it, and THEN use the iTunes gift cards. =)
what if I put a cdn visa card in the billing section? Can I buy stuff?
@generalinq: This won’t work. You’ll need a US credit card or an iTunes gift certificate.
There’s no “NONE” option for the billing info anymore…

you have to try to buy a free app and when it pops up and says log in say create account. then there should be a non option. and this is useless cause the promo ended. what’s the code?!
Ummm… downloading software to other countries and pretending it is the U.S. could be an illegal export if the software requires a license for export. That would be bad–think $10,000-$25,000 fine per export plus possible jail time.
