Lee Givens from AOL shows off AIM 2.0 which should hit the app store any moment now. Amongst the latest improvements, users will be able to stay logged in for up to 24 hours even after closing the application. Watch the video to learn how, and see what else AIM 2.0 has in store.

Wait… the new AIM is going to cost $$$?
A free version is also available, add supported.
That kinda sucks, but at least it’s a reasonable price, unlike some other IM apps out there.
Why are you guy complaining. You can still get it free if you want, and otherwise it’s a few bucks. But did you see the BIG news? AIM is actually usable now. You don’t get logged off every 2.5 seconds. Hello?! This is a major win for all of us. I will happily pay them whatever they want.
So where is it? I’ve been stalking the app store hourly since this news was released.
