Applications created to promote products, movies, shows, or basically anything else usually aren’t worth a second look.  Warner Bros. has created a new promotional application for the movie Terminator Salvation that may just break the mold.

Terminate Me does exactly what the title describes, it takes a photo of your face and turns you into a terminator.  To become a terminator, simply take a headshot of yourself or import a photo from your camera roll.  You must then align the photo with the in-app grid, touching different parts of your face to reveal the terminator endoskeleton beneath, so you can basically create a unique image every time.  The image can then be saved to share with your friends.

Even if you aren’t a big fan of the Terminator movies, this application is still pretty neat.  The only downside is that the application isn’t available for iPod touch users.  That’s one giant sad face for all of you touch users out there.

The best part is, Terminate Me is available immediately at the App Store for free.  Now go download Terminate Me, and get psyched for Terminator Salvation.

  1. Great review! Would like to point out the app does indeed work on the Touch, there is an option to terminate pictures from your camera roll. Cheers!

  3. Hurry up and make it available in the UK … We used to rule the world once you know …

  4. Too bad it’s not available in the Canadian iTunes store either

  5. He is correct. I have a 2G 32GB touch with the latest software and mine says the same thing. That’s why I assumed it didn’t work, that and the fact that it only says compatible with iPhone on the App Store page. Maybe I am missing something?

  6. We’re working on an update and will let you know as soon as it’s live in the app store.
