emailnwalk Email n Walk Compose Emails While On The Move

Have you ever attempted to walk down the sidewalk while composing an email?  It surely is a difficult and very dangerous task, but sometimes emails just can’t wait for you to stop moving.  Thanks to one unique developer, you won’t have to stop, just download their new application Email ‘n Walk and keep moving.

Email ‘n Walk allows you to compose important email messages while on the go.  Just open the application and start typing.  The subject and message fields appear over the top of a instant video feed via your iPhone’s camera.  This way you can type AND walk without worrying about what may be in front of you.  Once you have finished composing the message, just tap the send button and the message will be placed into your iPhone’s Mail application where you can add recipients and send it away.  The application works surprisingly quick when sending the message to your iPhone’s Mail application, so even if you are still moving you can get the email sent rather smoothly.

The concept is truly simple, but extremely original.  Just make sure to look up every once in a while, since the camera can obviously only see in the direction you are pointing it in.  Hanging objects hurt just as bad when ran into as the upright ones.

Email ‘n Walk is available at the App Store for free for a limited time.

  1. This is a crazy but great idea for an iPhone app.

  2. Nice imagination. Really nice and very useful for busy people

  3. what will they think of next!

  4. Awesome, but I have to say, this is the nerdiest application I’ve seen in a long time.

  5. of course, its terrifying sister application is the un-named Email ‘n Drive.

  6. So is Tweet’n'Walk next?

  7. This idea is so good that it could be applied to almost any app and therefore should be provided as an API by the OS.

    • Good idea for the API but overdoing it will lead to more complaints as well. How? I’d guess this will help destroy battery life. :8-)

  8. add a “share” link to your apps please. helps you / helps us. thx.

  9. Can someone not develop an Ap that will allow the iPhone to simply work better as a PHONE, rather than confront me with an impenetrable dialogue before I can make a call???

I yearn for the good old days when mobile phones could actually make phone calls in a straightforward way….
