For some people, dropping $7.99 on anything Metal Gear Solid related is a no-brainer, Konami could essentially slap the name on an empty box and watch it sell, but for those of you that aren’t hardcore fans of the series and simply want to see what all of the fuss is about, Konami has released a Lite version of Metal Gear Solid Touch for you to try on your iPhone.

The Lite version allows you to experience the opening story of the game and 3 Middle Eastern stages, which isn’t very much content compared to the full game’s 20 stages and 30 Metal Gear Solid related wallpapers, but at least it allows you to get a feel for the controls without purchasing it.

Metal Gear Solid Touch Lite is available for free at the App Store.  If you think you are ready for the entire Solid Snake experience, the full version is still available for $7.99.
