Have you ever wanted to let everyone in the world know where you are at all times?  Yeah, me neither, but some folks do, and that’s why Jeremy Heyl created TweetGPS for the iPhone and iPod touch.

TweetGPS allows you to keep your friends, family, or whoever is following your Twitter feed up-to-date on your location.  The application allows you to choose how accurately your location is displayed, how far you have to move before an update, and how long before sending an update.  TweetGPS will automatically send updates through your Twitter feed until you either tell it to stop, or when you quit the application since the OS doesn’t support background tasks.

Of course the application works best with GPS-enabled iPhones, but the iPod touch is supported as well.  TweetGPS also requires an Internet connection of some sort to update your Twitter feed, so unless you are using it near a WiFi connection, iPod touch users may want to think twice about a purchase.

TweetGPS is available at the App Store for $.99.

A nice practical use for this application, as Jeremy Heyl so kindly lists in the application description, is to use it while running a marathon.  Are there any other practical or even non-practical uses for this application that you can think of?
