According to my AT&T account I’m eligible in October!!..what does that mean for me? I have to wait another month or what?

Yes its true. I got my 3G last year after they finally became available again after the first wave of orders. ATT had already told me I could upgrade on July 31 but now this news gives me an earilier time if I chose.

If you spend over $99 a month on a single line, you can become upgrade eligible within 12 months. That could put your upgrade window within July, August, or September. It only applies to those with big phone bills.

this doesnt make sense to me. there is no way an iPhone 3G owner could be eligible in July August or September. I got mine the first day and I’m not eligible until March of next year. It seems to me this is more for people with the first iPhone or who never owned an iPhone but are still under contract with some other phone.
