This Saturday will mark the 1-year anniversary of the App Store. We have seen some great apps in the App Store’s first year and wanted to take the time to recognize those top-notch developers. AppAdvice.com has enlisted trusted members in the App community to throw the first annual AppAwards.
Everyone will have a chance to vote on the winners, as these are all reader’s choice awards. The nominees will be listed here on Monday July 13th, 2009. But in the meantime, if you’d like to mention an app for the nomination committee to consider, please email nominees@appadvice.com.
Check out the categories and email us your suggestions!
Also, feel free to check out our official AppAwards page where you will be able to vote on the nominated apps beginning July 13th.

This is awesome. Can I nominate built in Apple apps, or is this only for 3rd party apps. I vote to have Apple apps included because now that Notes syncs to desktop I don’t think there is a better notes app out there.
Fieldrunners FTW!
App of the Year is a really interesting one. That’s so hard to determine. I think it’s gotta be a Wow app like Shazam, but shouldn’t it really be an app I use everyday like Things?
Evernote as the best productivity app.
