MacRumors.com is reporting that when iPhone OS 3.1 becomes available to the masses, it will contain the tools necessary to allow the release of augmented reality applications in the App Store. Augmented reality is basically the ability to look through your phone’s camera and see a variety of different things such as the nearest subway stations or ATM machines by way of multiple “layers”. The possibilities are truly endless as you can see in the video below.
