Castle Of Magic has been raved about by critics and regular gamers alike. Even our own Trevor Sheridan called it “a must have” in his recent review of the game. The problem is that the main character can’t become one of those iconic platformer characters, like Sonic and Mario, without a name. Yeah, that’s right, the main character doesn’t have a name! That’s alright, however, because Gameloft has a plan.
Gameloft has decided to organize a worldwide contest to find the best possible name for their adorable main character. The contest is surprisingly easy to enter too. Simply come up with a really good name for the main character of Castle Of Magic and submit it via Twitter or Facebook.
To submit your unique name via Twitter, just start following the Castle Of Magic Twitter feed and reply (@CastleOfMagic) to it with your idea. Submitting a name through Facebook is just as easy. Just go to Gameloft’s Facebook fan page and write your idea on their wall. That’s it! If you come up with more than one great name, that’s just fine. You can submit up to 10 different names if you wish.
The winning entrant will not only have their name used in the next Castle Of Magic adventure, but they will also receive an iPod nano. The official rules can be found on Gameloft’s website.
Gameloft created the video that is embedded below to explain the contest, which I have already done, and to help you get those brain juices flowing so you can come up with a unique name. Good luck to everyone who is participating!
