iSamurai, the game that allows you to wield your iPhone or iPod touch as you would a sword, has received a free update that allows you to duel with a friend over Bluetooth.
iSamurai features single-player and two-player gameplay. In single-player mode, you can take on four different computer controlled opponents with multiple difficulty options. The game really shines, however, when you take on a friend in two-player mode. iSamurai allows you to duel with a friend over a local Wi-Fi connection, and now it also allows you to play over a Bluetooth connection. This is a welcome addition considering that the game requires you to flail your arms about, which can be a bit nerve-wracking when done inside of a house. With peer-to-peer Bluetooth support, you will now be able to take on an opponent at any place at any time.
As always, peer-to-peer Bluetooth multiplayer is only available for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the second generation iPod touch. It’s also worth noting that iSamurai isn’t compatible with the first generation iPod touch in any way, shape, or form.
iSamurai is available in the App Store for $.99.
We have also added iSamurai to our Peer-To-Peer Apps AppList.

Hi,
On Oct. 13, 2009, we released a huge upgrade: iSamurai: Critical Strike. iSamurai was previously on the iTunes Staff Favorites and iTunes Games What’s Hot List. It is now even better.
iSamurai is the first Wii-like game for the iPhone where players actually move around in their environment. In this case, they sword fight one-on-one by swinging their iPhones like swords and holding their iPhones up in appropriate blocks. When a block occurs, both iPhones emit clashing-sword sounds, but if a block is too slow or incorrect, that player’s iPhone emits a cry of pain (sometimes humorous). Because this is a real time battle, if both players attack at the same time, both are hit. Sounds are instantly heard as players attack and defend.
Critical Strike Feature
In this version, we have greatly enhanced the recognition of the different attacks and blocks, and we have made the game very tactical, like a boxing match, by adding “Critical Strike”, a “power-up” that is activated by blocking three slashes without attacking. A special sound is heard indicating that the player’s next hit is a serious blow unless blocked.
