Castle Of Magic Gets Updated, So Does Our Review
BY Tyler Tschida on gameloft Games iphone ipod touch update

Castle of Magic is Gameloft’s highly polished gem of a platformer for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game received a hefty amount of critical praise from nearly everyone, including our very own Trevor Sheridan, but it definitely wasn’t a flawless release thanks to a practically nonexistent save system. Yesterday’s update, however, may force some to reconsider their initial feelings towards the game.
Castle of Magic is a feature-rich platformer that contains tons of content, including five 3D environments, the ability to transform into six different characters, six different bosses, a vast amount of enemies, accelerometer and touch-based controls, and loads of secondary quests to keep the action coming. The game has been updated to v1.0.4 which addresses that one major complaint, the save system.
Castle of Magic v1.0.4 now allows players to restart from the last checkpoint achieved instead of having to restart from the very beginning of a level when play is interrupted. But was this update enough to change Trevor’s final score? Check it out for yourself in his updated review.
Castle of Magic is available in the App Store for $4.99.
