The newest version of Movies by Flixster has been released into the App Store, and it includes tons of new features that should make its six million plus iPhone and iPod touch users very happy.
The first thing you may notice about the updated version of Movies is that the user interface has been refreshed a bit to make the experience more enjoyable, but that isn’t the only thing it has going for it in v3.0. The developers set out to make this version of Movies your go-to app for everything movie related, including Netflix queue management for both DVD and instant queues, integrated movie ticketing, iTunes Movie Store integration, and built-in maps, so you can find all of the theaters playing a particular movie in your area.
Movies v3.0 additional features:
- Want to See List – Login with your Facebook or Flixster account to be able to rate movies, including creating a Want to See list
- Yelp Integration – Easily find restaurants near theaters and read reviews with the Yelp app on your device
- Improved Social Features – The social networking features of the app are much easier to use. You can now view 5x more movies in your Want to See or Rated lists.
- Flixster Account Login – Connect with your Facebook account, or if you would prefer, you can now login with your Flixster account
Movies is able to do it all, so now you can remove all of those other single-use apps that are wasting page space on your iPhone or iPod touch. Movies is available in the App Store for free.
