Simplify Media has released a new media streaming app for the iPhone and iPod touch that operates like their previous music streaming app, Simplify Music, it's just that this new app streams photos. Simplify Photo is intended for those of you who constantly forget to sync your photo library with your iPhone or iPod touch, or for those of you who lack the space on your device to store your thousands of photos. simplifyphoto_screenStreaming photos with the app is fairly simple.  You must first download Simplify Photo's companion desktop app free of charge from Simplify Media's website and fire it up.  Once you have accomplished that simple task you will be asked to create an account so the apps can sync.  The initial load can take a little time, especially if you have a lot of photos to index, but once it is finished everything operates fairly smoothly. Once you have everything set-up on the desktop side you can start accessing all of your photos on your iPhone or iPod touch while on the go.  Simplify Photo allows you to browse for photos by month, faces, albums, events, or places.  You can also search for a specific photo by tags, comments, title, or even the description.  Photos can be viewed as thumbnails, slideshows, or as individual photos.  Individual photos can also be saved to your camera roll. Simplify Photo does have a few minor drawbacks, however.  On slower connections the photo quality can get muddied up with compression artifacts.  Also, at this time the app doesn't allow you to zoom in on photos, but apparently that will be fixed in an update.  Another minor nuisance is that you must have the Simplify Media app launched at all times on your desktop computer. Simplify Photo is available at the introductory price of $.99. Embedded below is a video of Simplify Photo in action.
