Earlier in the month we reported that SlingPlayer Mobile for the iPhone and iPod touch would be receiving its very first update. That update has officially made it through Apple’s approval process and is now available in the App Store.
SlingPlayer Mobile v1.1 now includes full 16×9 widescreen support (Slingbox Solo, Pro, Pro-HD only), faster launch speeds and channel changing, an improved remote control interface, and integrated DISH Remote Access for users with DISH Network Satellite TV.
We have also been informed that there was a little confusion regarding 3G support for the rest of the world. It was initially reported by Boy Genius Report that Sling Media had submitted a different build of the app that would allow now-U.S. users to access content over 3G. Apparently that wasn’t exactly true. According to Sling Media, that update was already submitted, but as a different version. Sling Media has yet to hear from Apple about the status of that 3G update, but we will keep you posted. As it stands, SlingPlayer Mobile v1.1 in all regions of the world is Wi-Fi only.
SlingPlayer Mobile is available in the App Store for $29.99.

Some users have reported this version breaks swipe gestures. I am afraid to download it now.

Sorry but slingplayer isnt avaible at all “in the rest of the world!” or maybe “the rest of the world” to you means “the rest of the us”.
Can you tell me if the Sliing Player app supports video out?
I don’t think the iPhone SDK has access to redirect app video output to external hardware. So no.
Swiping can be enabled in the settings..
By default it’s turned off.
