Mountain Sheep, makers of the hit shooter Minigore, have finally been given the green-light to release Episode 2 as an update in the App Store.
The new update, Minigore 1.1, adds OpenFeint for online scoring, a furry radar, a giant flaming fury, more health for the game’s protagonist, John Gore, and new sound effects, voice overs, and animations. Episode 2 comes with a lot more fixes and changes to gameplay, with only a few bugs being reported.
Like Pocket God Minigore was going to issue episodic updates for the game but their first was held up by Apple’s approval process for two months.
At first it took Apple four weeks to make a decision about Episode 2, about as long as it would take to milk 18000 cows or fly 11 times around the world, according to Mountain Sheep. Apple rejected the update, saying it had problems crashing at launch during testing.
Two days later, Minigore 1.1 was resubmitted and here we are, another month later, talking about it finally being available. Who says the App Store is broken?

Thank you for the early wedding present Mountain Sheep!!!!
But they have f*cked up yet again. There’s a rather nasty bug, where if you flip the scren, the screen does just that, but the buttons are not aligned with the screen anymore. They seem to be about an inch down and another inch to the right, making some of them effectively ‘out’ of the screen. There’s no way to reverse this, and playing will result in inmediate death. Only way to fix this is an uninstall, but you will lose your highscores.
Well done Mountain Sheep!
There’s no excuse for Apple taking 4 weeks to approve an update, but this kind of update (tested by monkeys apparently) should be pulled.
Beware!
New version crashes on start up. Then buttons have fallen off the bottom of the screed. Can not be played at all. Please fix … I love this game and want it back!
