According to The Examiner Apple would have reconsidered its decision not to feature a camera in its iPod Touch 3G and would be actually planning to release a camera-enabled model in summer 2010.
The present model was already supposed to feature one, unfortunately it’s been changed at the last minute, indeed the lack of space only allowed it to feature a low-resolution version.
Hopefully they managed to simply cram the 3GS version into the available space, because the nano camera is just no good.

Yeah right. I’m still not over the disappointment of the new iTouch line. Until they come out with that camera, I’ll stick with my iTouch 1G. Thanks for nothing Apple. You could have owned the pocket video market. Instead the new nano is a joke.

I’d rather have gps than a camera, to take advantage of the mapping and tracking apps. a camera without a gps is of limited appeal anyway.
given that most of us have a cameraphone anyway, what’s the point of another low quality camera?
It will be awesome if this does happen however i highly doubt it as it will just be too similiar to the iphone
My advice towards Apple would be to stick to selling what they have and stop trying to improve something that do not needs a camera.
