One thing I expected from Asphalt 5 over Asphalt 4 was an emancipation from the less than optimal framerate/sense of fluidity the latter had, which I took as a symptom of the legacy the mobile gaming heritage Gameloft still had back then, especially if compared to the fluidity of both NFSU and Real Racing (the differences between the various game genres notwithstanding). Instead, I find that Asphalt 5 has the same kind of 20-25 fps approach which may or may not be the price for the variety of the game scenarios (which do pop out anyway in a couple of occasions on the two circuits I've sampled), but certainly detracts from the overall experience in terms of quality.
