Apple just reveled its global in-store Christmas campaign. This year it consists mainly of a Christmas tree made of apps featuring an iPhone in its middle.
I’m not quite sure why the byline says “85,000 gifts in one”, isn’t there over a 100′000 apps already? I guess Apple just plans its campaigns well ahead.
It is also too bad they aren’t featuring real apps…
I like it, it’s just simple and creative. What do you think?

i guess 85.000 gifts in a box is meaning apps
I’m totally disappointed. The tree should feature real app icons and not generic holiday decorations. Would it be a violation of dev’s
rights if Apple used their icons? I want a tree made up of all 100,000 apps in the App Store, dammit.
Too bad AT&T does not have 85,000 cell towers to support the service….
Is this really newsworthy?
I think it’s pretty nice, not a huge fan of Christmas trees myself but at least they did something clever.
I would love to find one of these display trees under my…erm…tree on Christmas morning. It would make a nice conversation piece in my office.
You guys are nuts. They definately used some of the actual app icons. I’m sure some of them are just decorations, but the blue christmas tree under the big camera, for instance, is the icon for Christmas Piano, and I’m sure I recognize at least 5 of the other ones, including the little monkey or whatever at the top. I’m sure that’s the logo of some game company.

The snowflake is Winterboards icon … So it’s a jailbroken iPhone!
It’s ‘revealed’, not “reveled”. Unless Apple was taking part in noisy activities under said tree.
