After a couple of issuesTweetDeck is back on the App Store and it brings some interesting new features to the Twitter on iPhone world, actually it’s just what it needs in its fight with the excellent Tweetie.

It also looks like they got some preferential treatment when you look at how quickly the fix got approved, for reminder they had to pull the app a couple of days ago because of a buggy update.

The first and probably most interesting new feature is the Facebook integration, it’s already been there for a while on the desktop version and this addition is definitely welcome. It lets you follow status updates, comment them or write on walls.

A further improvement is the integration of 12seconds.tv that will let those who possess a 3GS post 12 seconds videos to their twitter and facebook accounts.

Finally you’ll be now able to tweet in landscape mode, letting you use the wider keyboard.

Here is a video overview of the improvements:

That’s quite a lot of nice features, especially for a free app. I’d seriously consider it as a free Tweetie replacement.

  1. Sweet finally Tweetdeck for the iPhone now had Facebook like the client for my Mac. Now I can finally sync my FB columns on the phone too. Thanks Alexander

  2. Facebook fails for me. I have tried everything, verifying access says everything is ok “All Verified”, but I get an error when it tries to refresh the list. I’ve tried deleting access from facebook, and re-enabling it, I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling, everything… Back to tweetie 2 + facebook app for me… I was so excited when I heard about this too. Where is their QA department?

  3. This app works for me fine I think this is the best app with facebook and twiiter together. All it needs is a button to delete post and to notify you when somewrites on your page or responses to a comment you write on someones page. But this is the 1st step to being a great app

  4. It doesn’t work for me either. I repeatedly get “We are having a problem reading your facebook stream…” messages.

I had high hopes for the app. But so far it is leaving me cold.
