Whether you just got a new iPod touch or are a long-time iPhone power user, the amount of choices you face in the App Store can be mind numbing. Traditional iTunes categories, inspired by their music store, are simply no good to pick the apps you really need.
To solve this problem we rethought the App Store by making it feature-oriented. Instead of broad categories like “Productivity,” we created subgroups like “Task Managers” and “Note Taking Apps.” Each AppGuide lets you find the best app for a specific usage. Thanks to our reviewing expertise you can now have a complete overview of what’s available in the market and which apps you need in no time.
We are launching with 22 different AppGuides, and they’re here to grow and evolve. New AppGuides will be added regularly (3 new Games AppGuides will be added tomorrow) so make sure to check the AppGuides before making any purchasing decisions because from now on, they’ll be you’re number one reference to pick the apps you need.

Wow! Thanks for this AppAdvice! I think that it can be very useful!
Hey, cool post. Real quick I found this site that lets you check for “hard-to-find” products on Amazon, like the Ipod Touch. It’s called azchecker.com
Will you be adding Sports and Sports game apps?
Sports apps, including score finding, news, and games are all coming soon! Do you have suggestions?
iRentMovie is a superior iPhone netflix manager. Dunno why it was left out, it’s quick, easy and has everything you’d want including links to trailers and a “save” feature.
You guys are pretty awesome. Thanks!

Great Guide! I will be watching for additional categories.
Thank you.
AppAdvice just keeps getting better and better. Thanks!
This is a very Nice move! I’ve searched All over the ‘net to find a guide like this but haven’t Found it until now – now I just hope that you are updating The categories and adding new if neccesary!
The scripture section needs iQuran and iPray
Nice guide! But wow, the scripture section. Mormon and LDS much? haha. I’ve tried out a few bible applications over some period of time and the one that was really impressive and easy to move around in was The Mantis Bible Study app. It has highlighting options for different scriptures as if it was a felt marker and you can put them into different categories. Then, you have 4 corners that you can use to smoothly go from one section to another. They have most popular bible translations (I have the NKJ version and The Message). Whats really cool is that you can buy extra versions and add them all into one app. Check it out and Im sure it’ll be up on your top scripture apps
I’ve gotta agree here – I was surprised & disappointed by the obvious slant toward LDS literature. If you want a great Bible reader app that makes the Bible easy to navigate & read (without the Mormon commentaries), I’d recommend the free Olive Tree BibleReader that comes bundled with a couple of translations and allows in-app purchase of many others including NIV, NKJV, ESV, HCSB and many more.
The collection is so various.
Great guide !
I am sure that any person can choose favorite one from your list!
I’m fairly certain that more time should be spent updating the guide with apps that people care about instead of bible scriptures. Honestly people, get with it. God doesn’t exist.
Hey Gabriel. Instead of trying to be ignorant to everything thats going on around you, check out some stats of religious numbers around the world. People do care about apps with bible scriptures. Its not our fault that you’re not apart of the majority.
You just got learned.

Athiests are just as bad as “Bible Bangers”. If you dont like to read posts about Scripture, then dont. Learn how to be more understanding…people will like you more.
Saddened to see that all the Scripture apps were LDS. Slanted list toward one bias.
Any chance of the scripture apps section being updated to be less biased? These apps arent even some of the top scripture apps, yet they are highlighted in this section? Doesnt make much sense to me
Yeah, as you can see we’re getting a lot of input on this section and we’re working on it
Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to the updates and keep up the great work with this site. Surely my #1 favorite site for iPhone info.
