View Geolocated Tweets In The iPhone Maps App

We keep seeing more and more geolocation aware or augmented reality twitter apps, but if it’s getting too confusing to you why not simply use the built-in maps application?

Indeed, your built-in maps app can do a lot more than you think, for example it can display geolocated tweets on a map. All you have to do is enter

http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/[the username].rss

in the search field and the tweets will pop-up according to where they were posted, you can even read the tweet itself by selecting it.

If you don’t know anybody who geolocates his tweets you can try this one: http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/noradio.rss
