Apple's Special Event: AppAdvice.com Is Covering It Live!

10:10 : The event just started.
10:12 – Steve Jobs just announced the iPad
It’s basically a big iPod with large apps
10:14 It includes the App Store, HD youtube and so on.

10:17 – It allows you to check your emails, surf the web (no flash here still)
10:20 – It features an on-screen keyboard

Allright, so far all we have is pretty much a big iPhone.
If it’s priced too high we might be getting disappointed
10:24 – It has a new iTunes

10:26 – Of course, It has videos, music and so on…
10:28 – Steve Jobs demoes movies.
10:29 – It’s .5 inch thin and 1.5 pounds
10:30 – It features SSD Storage, with memory up to 64 GB
10:30 – It can hold up 10 hours!

10:32 – Now focusing about the App Store!

10:36 All apps can be ran either on 1:1 or maximized for the screen
The developers can also adapt their apps to take advantage of the higher resolution

Apple believes this is going to be another gold rush for developers. The new SDK is available today.
10:44 – The NYT rumor gets confirmed. They just made a special iPad dedicated app :

10:46 – It seems like Jobs didn’t change his mind about Styluses. The iPad is very finger centric.
They are now demoing all kinds of apps. Brushes for example will let you draw

The real news left now will be the price tag, it’s just a large iPhone so far, if it’s a $1000 they will have a tough time selling it.
