iphone verizon Biggest Loser Of The Day: Verizon

There are, as usual, tons of things we didn’t see today at Apple’s conference. There was however a particularly noticeable absent today, Verizon.

We heard over the last couple months an incredible amount of rumors on this matter, even FOXNews vouched for it. Well, so much for that. Not only is Apple sticking with AT&T all the way, they actually worked out a special data pricing package.

I didn’t really exclude the Verizon possibility since it would make sense for Apple to open up its distribution. Their multi-provider strategy has payed off in Europa, the entry of a new provider in the UK last month got Apple an extra 100,000 iPhone sold.

It seems like on American soil however, Apple privileged its cooperation with AT&T in the end. We’re just hoping the extra data load from the Tablet won’t be causing too much problems…

Nope Verizon, you won’t be tapping in the iPhone money any time soon.

  1. And even when the AT&T exclusivity ends, it still wont be Verizon! My money would be on T-mobile (the easy logical next step) since the device already support their network tech. So don’t whine “V” heads, its all good, DROID!!

  2. [...]even FOXNews vouched for it[...] Well that means its true

    • Yeah, at this point, it’s good idea to disbelieve anything Fox News vouches for. Seriously, I heard them proclaim that the sky was falling.

  3. Seems to me it would be best to make it work on anyones network (well the big 3 anyway). It is not a phone after all, just a data device.

  4. This website is getting worse than Fox news. Did you people even read the link? Fox did not vouch for a Verizon iPhone. The story at the link in this article quotes one Fox reporter reporter who said Apple was in talks with both AT T and Verizon. It is a huge stretch for both the writer of this article and the commentors to go from Fox’s statement of “Apple is in talks” to “Fox vouches for a Verizon iPhone.” Please check the “facts” in your statement beforw posting them please.
