Smart Phone users are often accused of staring continuously at their screen and ignoring the outside world. While you can’t help with the attention freaks, there are some apps out there that can at least avoid you getting in an accident.

They’re called Type & Walk apps and the concept is fairly simple, it’s simply a text field with your camera feed in the background.

TypeToGo is one of them and does it actually pretty well. It lets you write in landscape mode, change the camera’s brightness and it will automatically save what you typed in the clipboard when you hit home.

TypeToGo’s developers even claim that the app will let you see behind you by switching off the camera and using your iPhone as mirror, but let’s stay real, that doesn’t work too well.
