We all know you can’t spend every waking moment in front of your gaming rig playing Mass Effect 2. Well you can, but it’s just not healthy. To help ease the withdrawals while away, Dark Horse Comics has released the first issue of a four part comic series titled Mass Effect: Redemption, which is meant to tell the exciting back-story leading up to the events of Mass Effect 2 so you can stay in the Mass Effect world even while on the go. The best part? The first issue is absolutely free today, so you can get your fix at no cost.
Mass Effect: Redemption will be a four part series penned by the game’s lead writer, Mac Walters, and John Jackson Miller. The comic series begins right after the events of the original Mass Effect all the way up to the beginning of Mass Effect 2, exploring the future Milky Way of Mass effect and revealing all-new locations, aliens, and enemies.
Mass Effect: Redemption Issue 1 features 94 full-color screens all controlled via simple swipe gestures. It is available for free today, but will return to its $.99 price point tomorrow.

Thanks! Downloading it right away…
What, another app “not compatible” with iTouch 1G because it requires a microphone? Why in the H would it require a microphone?! You’ll have similar nightmares, buyers of the new iPad 1G.
So disappointed. Was so looking forward to this. Started up my iPod touch 1G, but the app needs a microphone to read the comic somehow? By the time (if) they update, it won’t be free.
C’mon Dark Horse, really? At least iPad buyers will share my pain. The pain that every surviving vulcan now shares.
Nice, but I have printed version from ME2 Collector’s Edition
Same as titan4. But not realizing the CE comic is the same as subject comic I had already picked up a hardcopy for $3.50 from my local supermarket. Doh! & LOL! So I guess I don’t need a free or 99 cent e-copy.
