Rumor: iPhone 4G Front Pictures

Posted by Alexander Vaughn on: February 8th, 2010, 1.17 pm

An iPhone repair site, iResQ, just posted some pictures of what they claim to be spare front parts of Apple’s upcoming new iPhone.

As you can see, they appear to be a little longer than the current ones (+1/4″) and feature some sort of reflective surface which iResQ believes to be meant for a proximity sensor.

While I can imagine that they might get dibs on some spare iPhone parts, I’m suspecting that more and more repair shops are abusing our credulity for marketing purposes…

What’s your take on this?

  1. i think its a fake. the actual screen isnt any bigger its the same size. why would they make the bezel taller and not make the screen any larger?

  2. This ain’t Apple’s style PERIOD

  3. Lol.
Spare parts for an unreleased iPhone don’t just turn up at any random iPhone repairer.
That is most likely spare parts for some dodgy Chinese iPhone rip-off.

  4. Well even if it was its the iphone 4g picture (thats not) why the heck will apple call it 4G , apple meant with the 2g and 3g as the internet connection .

  5. Bottom line is that whatever iPhone coming up next seems more appealing than the piece of fecal matter called ipad. It’s nothing but an approach of competition on the ebook market.

  6. Maybe they will call it 4G for the 4G connection. But I doubt that.

  7. DuckWorth, I with you. It’s a Chinese version, more like an immitation.
