iTunes 642x312 Siri Assistant Turns Your iPhone Into A Digital Concierge

The iPhone is a wonderful PDA and it’s great to find all kinds of information. But what if it could be even more than that? What if you could just tell it what you want and let it figure out?

That’s the idea behind Siri Assistant. This voice-enabled wolfram|alpha-like concierge app just hit the App Store and it sounds like a little revolution. The concept is simple, just tell it what it is that you want, and it will make the arrangements.

I don’t know how well it works yet since I’m still waiting for my validation email, but it looks pretty impressive on paper, especially for a free app.

  1. Not available in Canada. Getting pretty used to this routine, sadly.

  2. Nor in the UK & ditto! :-(

  3. nor in hungary, gosh, I could’ve used it…

  4. Too bad it won’t send me the password confirmation email like it insists it has done. Can’t even load the app, and the company is ignoring people on Twitter saying the same thing — not a good 1st impression.

  5. What’s all this talk about email and password? I downloaded it, entered name and email, and it worked right away. I said “GET ME PIZZA!” And it said “ok, let me look for pizza in your location and returned multiple locations right away. Done! Oh, and on AT&T 3G in NY to boot ;^p…

  6. Just started using this app today after the review, and I can honestly say it is pretty amazing. It operates exactly how the tutorial video depicts it.

    Great Review! Thanks.

  7. Awesome!!! Very accurate. Right on point. Niceeee

  8. I don’t understand why these things aren’t available in Canada. Open Table works here as does “Around Me” and “Where to” and other such apps. This close minded thinking is just so ridiculous.
