Frogger Is Hotter Than Ever In Frogger Inferno

If for some reason you don’t already have the original version of the classic 1981 arcade game Frogger installed on your iPhone, Konami has a brand new and fiery hot one available for you to consider downloading instead titled Frogger Inferno.

Frogger Inferno features the same classic arcade-style gameplay as the original, but with updated graphics, soundtrack, controls, and now fiery trails.  As with the original, the goal of the game is to simply direct as many of your frogs safely from the bottom of the screen to their homes at the top before time runs out while also avoiding being squished or eaten by the cars and alligators, and that’s where the twist comes in.

In Frogger Inferno your frogs leave a trail of fire wherever they hop, which makes you unable to retrace your steps.  Frogger Inferno also features Facebook Connect, allowing you to compete with your friends via local and global leaderboards.

If you already own Frogger, this new version is probably not worth your $.99 as it only adds a trail of fire and the original version of Frogger was already updated with Facebook Connect as well.  It’s actually kind of sad Konami didn’t just add the trail of fire to the original version of the game via an update, or offer it as an in-app purchase. However, if you are in need of some version of Frogger, Frogger Inferno is definitely worth a look.
