Apple's iBooks App Hits The App Store

April 2, 2010

Apple's very hyped entry in the eBook business, in the form of its iPad iBooks app, is now live in the App Store.

As announced, iBooks allows you to access, buy and read eBooks from Apple's newly put together library; with the addition of some interesting features.

Very conveniently, every iBook comes with a free sample consisting of as much as a couple chapters to help you with your selection. It can also read your texts out loud if you wish so, and you even have the possibility to import your own, DRM-free eBooks on it through iTunes as long as they're in the ePub format.

Last but not least, every iBooks app comes packed with "a complimentary copy of the beautifully illustrated classic, Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne".

The iPad iBooks app is available for free, now on the iPad App Store.
