GodFinger for iPad Will Launch With the iPad App Store

April 2, 2010

GodFinger for iPhone/iPod Touch is still in beta in Canada, but GodFinger for iPad will go live for the entire world April 3rd with the launch of the device. GodFinger is ngmoco's newest freemium game where you play god interacting with all of the inhabitants of your planet. You can make it rain, make it shine, cause a flood, bring lightning, cause fire or elctrostorm, and/or terraform the planet. It's all at your fingertips with an entire planet under your control. You get to decide what kind of god you will be, do you care for your followers or will you kill them? The game is about earning xp, leveling up, and becoming a more power powerful god. At higher levels you can build structures for your followers including farms, barns, and taverns. Your followers then work until exhaustion, and you need to replenish their energy at an abode. The game feels like you're micromanaging your macro kingdom form We Rule. The game also features social connectivity by connecting any one of your followers to a Plus+ friend, and then you can earn money for your friend, and vice versa. You perform wonders using mana, and can get more mana via awe which is the purchasable item in the game. If you're patient you don't need to ever buy anything. The iPhone version presents a bunch of detail on a small screen, but it's tough to manipulate objects and followers when zoomed out to see more of your planet. The iPad version instantly rectifies that plus everything is absolutely beautiful with the enhanced graphics. The app is free so you may want to give it a try on your iPad.
