iphone 4g hd leak pics 1 Rumor: Leaked iPhone 4 Shots Hit The Web? Update: Nope

Are these leaked shots of the next generation of iPhones? That’s what some folks want you to believe today apparently.

It sounds really far-fetched to me that we would be able to put our hands on such shots so early on, but who knows? The design does look appealing and in line with Apple’s unibody design…

  1. I could see how this would make sense, keeping with their unibody design, but I just don’t see how this would be as nice and as comfortable to hold in your hand as the present iphone we have. With the straight edges, instead of rounded edges, it just seems not as practical for a phone, but I guess we’ll see.

  2. IF whoever made this put a black plastic strip at the top, as seen on the 3G iPad, then this makes sense. I doubt Apple would make a cellphone that blocks it’s own signal. Also it is a little too blocky. It’s a cool mockup though.

  3. If this is true I’ll but an android, and I’m a big fan of apple… Lol

  4. Can anyone make out how many gigs are on this?

  5. Look like it says 64GB

  6. What source did these photos come from? Gizmodo or somewhere?

I think it says 64 too. This design looks like it wants to massacre your hands. Curved edges please.

    • to*

      • you had it right the first time

      • I think it looks pretty legit. I’ll take it.

        • dammit

  7. Doesn’t seem Apple. It’s kind of like a student designer who can’t handle 3d modeling tools so well made it. To model a perfect surface like the back of current iMac or iPad is not an easy task, sophisticated skill is needed, otherwise there will be strange “x” bumpup (just like in the picture above) if you look close under a light tube.

    • Totally agree. The bevel is not even, like every other Mac device that has this (both unibody macbooks AND the iPad have this, and the bevel is SMOOTH, not “x’d” like this one.

    • As much as I think this is a fake, I have always thought (since I saw the original unibody Macbook) that this is the way all Apple products would go. So far I’ve been validated in that assumption – iMacs now sport a solid unibody, as do both types of iPads and all Macbooks except for the base model. I would venture a bet that the 4G iPhone coming in June will look very much like a miniature iPad 3G. For those of you who say “it’s just a mini iPad” think about this: WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT THE IPAD? Just this: “It’s just a big iPod Touch”. If Apple had a problem with unity of design in the product line, They’d do more to differentiate their individual offerings. As it is, we are not seeing differentiation, but convergence. So my prediction: the design we see above is a rough equivalent of what we will see in the iPhone 4G, with a plastic strip like the iPad 3G of course. And you can quote me.

  8. My take is that its a ‘shop. Overly pixelated to hide the photoshop traces.. If you had the chance to break the first leaked images, wouldn’t you use a camera not from 1995 to prove your legit? Wouldn’t you at least take more pictures of the front?

    • This looks to be taken with an iphone camera, which is probably what they had on hand.

  9. Could be part of a chinese rip-off.

  10. Take a look to the last pic.
The iPhone text and everything below is not on perspective.
It is just a bad Photoshop image.

    • Good call.

    • That’s what happens when you use a wide-angle lens, something like on the iphone.

  11. The last picture looks like cardboard.

  12. I agree with eltiofabi. Looking at the last pick it is definitely photo-shopped. Letters are not straight compared to the edges.

  13. These look like rendered 3D files. The last photo gives it away with the logo on back

  14. If it’s fake then I reckon it’s what the iPhone should look like.
Has anyone seen the HTC Legend? I swear a MacBook designer put that phone together.

  15. looks like an iPad…

  16. It figures that they would make the shape just different enough that our current cases won’t fit.

  17. Total fake if you ask me. First off, is that an SD memory slot on the side? If so it’s against the whole Apple device philosophy. And like others have said about the sharp edges they too wouldn’t fit Apples goal of making devices people would simply love holding.

  18. The shapes of this phone greatly resemble of HTC HD2, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just a fake :-/

  19. Surley if someone had the big scoop and wanted to leak the new iPhone they would flip it over and to break the news of a front facing camera?fake all the way I rekon

  20. That doesn’t look like an SD card slot, it looks like where the volume and mute would go on an empty shell! Could be one of the leaks from China that always appear… June 22 isn’t that far away!

  21. I think its a fake, there is no plastic at the top for the 3G antenna. If you look at the back of the iPad it has a big black plastic strip for the 3G antenna.

  22. okay, what is everyone’s obsession with having an aluminum unibody phone? are people so brainwashed into the new apple designs that they are willing to go back in time for a metal phone that weighs a half a pound? Seriously half the iPad’s weight is the case. Phones have been getting smaller and lighter, and i doubt apple is gonna put a metal case on the new iphone. it would be a huge step back for them.

    • Dude, you’re talking about what you don’t actually know. The unibody is only 138 grams (of the total 697) – that’s just under 20%. Things that weigh MORE than the unibody: Battery (148 grams), LCD (153 grams), Glass and Frame (193 grams). Truth is, the unibody is VERY light, and if you shrink it down to iPhone size, it’s truly negligible. And BTW, Apple is truly all about this design direction: it’s in EVERY product they make (save the cheap MacBook) except for the iPhone. Mark my words, this design is not it, but it’s very close.

      • @macgoo, not that you’re going to read this, but this is me “marking your words”… you douche.

  23. Interesting how it always turns out that people-taking-the-leaked-photo can never afford a decent camera with at least a 5-megapixel. And with Photoshop’s glory, you’d think they’d spend a minute or two to notch it up themselves… hmm, and then we’re the ones speculating real or fake. Wake up!

  24. It’s only a shell so this definitely could be real. Look at the slots where the volume and mute button should be, you can see right through them to the table underneath. This person probably only had enough time to snap a few photos with his cellphone. I believe them.

  25. Obviously fake. 2nd picture has a shadow that is way to long for where the light is coming from. And the guy that mentioned the X issue from the 3d mesh is spot on. Anyone with 3d modeling experience could produce the same thing quick and easy.
