Overview
Have you ever wanted to be a stuntman, but don’t want to risk life and limb? Well now you can with Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman that gives you all kinds of crazy courses to fly your motorcycle across. You will need to jump over a shark tank, lava pit, gorge, and more.

The game is all about clearing the crazy jumps, but knowing that, there is plenty of danger and harm possible. If you do crash Dave will need to go to the hospital with resulting huge medical bills. Your goal is to earn as much as possible without paying too much in medical expense.
Features
The game features 18 different jumps that you complete in tour mode. Once you complete an event you unlock the next one in practice mode to try out a jump beforehand. Once you complete tour mode you unlock injury mode where your goal is to cause the most damage to Dave over the same 18 courses.

For every course you begin by seeing the jump, and adjusting the ramp height for the particular jump. Then you turn the throttle, and adjust your speed before lifting off the ramp. Online high scores via AGON are included for both modes as well as worst crash.
The Good
There is no better way to use ragdoll physics than with the crashes of a motorcycle stuntman. The engine is outstanding as Dave is slammed against walls, ramps, busses, helicopter blades, and more. It’s absolutely great seeing the crashes that Dave goes through.

As amazing a spectacle as the crashes are it’s a great reward to complete a jump, and see Dave fly over the obstacles. The various courses are absolutely great with classic stuntman jumps through a ring of fire, across roof tops, over helicopters and busses, over canyons with each one uniquely enjoyable. With 18 different tracks there is plenty to do, and you will enjoy each and every one.
It’s great to go through the tour mode choosing to take the risk or go back to practice mode. Either way most of the time you will need to tweak the ramp height and lift off speed over and over to be able to make these complex jumps. Not only do you need to clear the jump, but you need to land on the end ramp as well.

Playing through all 18 courses will make it well worth your money, and with all the retries there is even more play time. On top of that you unlock a new mode to maximize injury which is a whole new way to play. You will want to replay levels just to cause more harm to Dave. Plus there are online high scores.
The scoring system is well done as you have to balance the risk of medical bills in an attempt to achieve precision in the landing, and completing the jump if you can. When you do crash the medical bills can be quite humorous as it details all the injuries Dave went through.

The Bad
The game is definitely fun, but it does have its problems. One negative is that the game is extremely dark so there isn’t much detail in the game outside of Dave. Most of the atmosphere is black which makes it tough to see in high light as well.
The controls make it a little tough to be precise when adjusting speed, and its simply tedious adjusting ramp height. When playing in practice mode the game become quite annoying as you have to watch the crash in entirety, and then wait through going to the hospital, and seeing the medical bills. It would be great to have a quick restart, but there are too many screens to wade through.

The game lacks any kind of soundtrack or many sounds at all. There are a few sayings from Dave, but they aren’t many. The gameplay mechanic is somewhat simplistic as there is just one lever to press with no in air controls.
The Verdict
Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman is a great game that provides fun, challenge, and plenty of humor. Classic stunt jumps are included that you’ll love tweaking to make the jump, and maybe like the crashes even more. There is plenty to do in the game with multiple jumps and modes with tons of fun along the way.
Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman is a should buy for $1.99, and higher for those who love Evil Kenevil. The game has a few problems including the control, visuals, and sounds.
