Apple Says No White iPhone 4 Until Late July

June 23, 2010

Those of you hoping to get your hands on a pearly white iPhone 4 instead of the more popular black model are in for a surprise.  Apple has finally issued a brief statement regarding the highly anticipated device, saying it won't be arriving until the second half of July.
White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.
This is sad news indeed for those wanting to stand out a bit among the millions of iPhone owners out there.  But as they say, patience is a virtue, and you will eventually get your reward, just a bit later than expected. Here's a question for those of you who were holding out hopes for a white iPhone 4 on launch day like yours truly: Are you going to continue to wait, or will the sight of the new black iPhone 4 in your friend's hands push you over the edge and force you to get the black one?  I for one am going to hold steady, or at least I am going to try.
