Steve Jobs has been replying to his fan-mail again, this time to answer a question one iPhone user posed regarding wireless syncing – something jailbroken iPhones have been able do for a while now.
The question asked was simple enough:
Do you think you will ever allow syncing iPhone to Mac over wifi?
Much like Steve’s response,
Yep, someday.
Despite Jobs’ vague answer (let’s be honest – it’s his style), we can’t help but be pleased that wireless syncing is on Apple’s agenda. It’s something that’s going to make keeping our iPhones up-to-date a whole lot easier - and also something that really can’t come quickly enough.
You can check out a screenshot of the email conversation below. And as always, let us know what you think about the possibility of wireless syncing in the comments box below!

Not only do I want to see syncing over wifi, I would like to be able to schedule a regular sync. So I could set my phone to automatically sync at night while I am asleep and it’s plugged into the charger.
I don’t see why this isn’t easy for Apple. They already do the exact same thing with Apple TV’s, just build it in already… It could sync anytime the phone is on the right network with iTunes up and running while the phone is idle… I think Apple is just holding out so they can make a big show of it in some future iOS, just my opinion…
Let’s go Steve, you’re starting to slow down! Keep up.
Apple has already been making product sync over wifi. It doesn’t seems difficult for apple. Annyway, I have an jailbroken iphone and experienced WiFi sync with Mac. Battery goes down faster than usual but It’s great
It’s for iOS5, in 12 month from now, when Android will have 3G syncing and jailbreak will have enable the iPhone to…nope I think by then most “Jailbreak person” will do like the first ones and move from this toy for rich kids, tech bloggers and secretaries..
