For those of you who don't know, EchoSign is an online e-signature service that allows users to sign contracts in digital form, online - removing the need to mail or fax important items (which potentially wastes a lot of time).
In short, it does for contracts what emails did for letters, utilizing the speed of the web to facilitate the oft-boring paperwork so many in the business world are very familiar with.
And now, EchoSign has become even more open and accessible: its mobile site has recently been updated to support HTML5, which means iPhone and iPad users can sign contracts on the go. According to TechCrunch, almost 10% of the service's users sign contracts on mobile devices - a number sure to rise. Now EchoSign has expanded its service to support actual signatures made on the iPhone and iPad.
Users can now input handwritten signatures straight into mobile Safari. Before the change, only typed signatures could be used when signing on the go - but now, iDevice owners may fully interact with EchoSign's service.
