Users of the all-in-one messenger, IM+ Pro, received a bit of a delightful new visual experience after updating to the latest version, which is more of a spiffer-upper than anything.

IM+ Pro v4.3 features:

• New themes and wallpapers
• Hi-res graphics for iPhone 4
• Full VoiceOver support
• Setting own display picture from iPhone 4 front camera
• Improved contact search
• Bug fixes

IM+ Pro is a universal iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad app that supports instant messaging services from AOL, MSN / Hotmail / Live,, Facebook, Yahoo!, Google Talk, Jabber, ICQ, and MySpace. It’s not just IM services though. IM+ Pro also offers support for Twitter and Skype voice, including voicemail. AOL, Google, MSN / Hotmail / Live, and Yahoo! users also have the option to enable new email message notifications.

Like other iOS messaging client, IM+ Pro uses Apple’s push notification system, which makes sure you’ll never miss a message, even if the app is closed. You can automatically adjust how long you want to remain logged into your social environment, all the way up to an entire week. Send video messages, audio messages, photos, and even a link to your current location. IM+ Pro even provides a $.99 per month speech recognition service via in-app purchase.

SHAPE Services offers the ad-supported, free IM+ Lite, which lacks support for Skype and these latest features. It’s possible that Lite users will receive these improvements eventually, as was the case for iPad support, but it looks like those willing to fork out the dough will again get first dibs.

IM+ Pro is available in the App Store for $9.99.
