While we were very glad that George Hotz, and subsequently the Dev-Team, released an iOS 4.1 jailbreak tool last week, we had an unpleasant surprise discovering it was Windows only. Reportedly, both jailbreak tools had some unexpected issues working properly on a Mac, and they were proving hard to solve.

Good news today, as George Hotz has been able to resolve the issues and Limera1n is now available on Mac OS X.

You can download it immediately, over at Limera1n.com.

As a reminder, the Limera1n tool allows you to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on either iPhone 4, or 3GS, as well as on the new and latest generation iPod touch. Once again, stay away from iOS 4.1 for now if you don’t want to lose the unlock. Otherwise, you’re good to go.
