Rapid Review: Panda Circus - Bouncing Animals

There are monkeys, lions, and hippos coming at you at all times, and you need to be quick moving to keep them all from touching the ground. As you get going there are letters to collect to spell some of the animals' names. The game is casual endless going for the highest score you can, and there are online high scores and achievements via Game Center.

The game has a real nice art look with cute cartoon artwork for all the animals, and circus background. There is a circus theme song as well, and you're trying to bounce the animals to the tune. Once you let three animals drop it's game over.

The game appears to be geared towards kids with the theme, but the gameplay has a an extremely sharp difficulty curve. There are multiple animals bouncing at different intervals seemingly coming towards the ground at the same time. It seems you need to be in two places at once only after being a little ways into the game.

The gameplay itself is bland as you only move between one of three spots, and there is no variability in the difficulty. Every game starts with the same waves up until you’re at about 2000 points, and also around that plateau there is an overwhelming amount of items on screen with multiple animals, and letters. The game seems to be lacking any ingredient of fun which is sad with such a cute theme, and simple mechanic.

Panda Circus is bad in the most important category which is gameplay. It should be skipped with many better games in the App Store.
