Apple TV Gaming: iPhone As A Touchscreen Controller?

Apple TV Gaming: iPhone As A Touchscreen Controller?

November 15, 2010
A recent update to the popular iOS app, The Incident, means iPad owners can now play the game from across the room, using their iPhone as a gaming controller. As Cult of Mac reports, the "retro-style arcade game" added the ability to do this just recently. After hooking up their iPad to a HDTV, users can now establish their iPhone as a controller by pairing it via Bluetooth. And, as you can see from the embedded video below, the results are great. If Apple ever decides to push Apple TV's gaming capabilities, you can be sure this is how they're going to do it. While the Apple Remote has its uses, it's really not suited for life as a gaming controller. However, with a touchscreen and built-in accelerometer, the iPhone is the perfect candidate. Hopefully, in time, the jailbreak community will add such a feature to Apple TV jailbreak apps. Let us know what you think of this idea in the comments below!
