iFusion SmartStation Adds The Comfort Of Traditional Telephone Handset Features To Your iPhone

January 27, 2011
AltiGen Communications announced the iFusion SmartStation at Macworld 2011. The iFusion adds convenient, familiar, and handy desktop telephone handset features to your iPhone, providing a comfortable calling experience when at home or work.
“This breakthrough device provides the ultimate desktop experience,” said Niel Levonius, AltiGen’s Director of Corporate Strategy. “Offering optimal comfort, convenience and style, the iFusion has been designed to complement the look and feel of Apple products, while meeting the demanding requirements of today’s iPhone users.”
AltiGen's telecommunication docking station offers both a customary hardwired telephone handset and full-duplex speakerphone. Not only is your iPhone's screen within easy reach, but it will be charged and ready to go mobile whenever you are. Below the docking cradle are touch sensitive buttons for Bluetooth on or off, speakerphone on or off, volume, and mute. If one thing is for sure, iPhone owners are all about surpassing the basics. Because the iFusion SmartStation pairs with your iPhone using an A2DP compliant connection, you can enjoy music playback as well. The iFusion also includes a pass-through Dock connector port to allow syncing of your iDevice with a nearby computer and a 3.5 mm audio port for connection to self-powered external speakers. Of course, iFusion doesn't prevent you from quickly checking the weather, your email, or any other app. Perhaps as no surprise, the VP of Macworld, Paul Kent, is pleased to have AltiGen and other iDevice-related manufacturers and developers introducing and showcasing such useful accessories for the Apple community.
“Macworld 2011 is the one place that showcases the creativity, enthusiasm and genius of the Apple developers, as well as the wide variety of new accessories available for Apple users,” said Paul Kent, Vice President and General Manager of Macworld 2011. “We are excited to be a key launch partner for AltiGen’s iFusion docking station, a groundbreaking iPhone accessory for home and business users.”
Available in either a glossy white or black finish, the iFusion SmartStation is compatible with iPhone 3G, 3GS, or iPhone 4. The iFusion will be available to United States customers sometime in April at a price tag of $169. Anyone who pre-orders today will get a bonus of $20 off the manufacturer suggested retail price.
