Korean Short Film Recorded Entirely On An iPhone 4

January 10, 2011
A famous South Korean film director has shot a 30 minute short film entirely on an iPhone 4. As The Wall Street Journal reports, the film's director (Park Chan-wook) shot everything with Apple's latest iPhone handset, which can record movies in high definition. After an initial screening of the film (which is called “Paranmanjang"), Park said:
From hunting for a film location, shooting auditions, to doing a documentary on the filming process, everything was shot with the iPhone 4. We went through all the same film-making processes except that the camera was small.
Apple's iDevices are proving to be quite useful for film-makers and musicians alike. Damon Albarn, the mastermind behind Gorillaz, recorded the band's latest album on an iPad. If you've got a portable device as powerful as an iPad or iPhone, it makes sense to utilize it. For more information on Park's "iPhone shot" movie, check out the WSJ's original article.
